LAKE HENNESSEY

Nested amongst the rolling hills above Lake Hennessey, this stunning property required a planting palette to compliment the natural setting.  Native and ornamental grasses, lavender, olives and edibles, ad native perennials, shrubs and groundcovers completed the visual montage.

Diamond Mountain Road | Calistoga

This Mediterranean inspired hillside estate was developed to provide easy care, low water use plantings, drip irrigation,  gravel  and Flagstone paths and colored concrete steps and pool deck. A pool and spa was sited to take advantage of view. Citrus and fruit trees were introduced throughout.

 

Erland Road | Santa Rosa

This family Estate landscape was developed to compliment the rural character of the site  using native and drought tolerant plant material, grasses and pollinator perennials in meandering gravel or flagstone terrace and path systems. A pool/spa, sport court and turf area, raised vegetable beds, bocce court, orchard, wine cave and fire pit provide a retreat for family and guests. 

Lovall Valley Road | Sonoma

This rural family retreat and farm  provides strong modernist elements to contrast the rural surroundings character implementing simple strong planting elements. The strong axial symmetry is strengthened by allees of Pineapple Guava, ornamental grasses and drought tolerant groundcovers.  The central fountain and sitting area is the center of the greenhouse, barn/workshop and olive and fruit orchards. 

Marra Road | Occidental

This family retreat nestled in a pristine redwood forest has been developed over the last 30 years, connecting all structures and outdoor use areas with meandering natural paths, and low stone walls. A large vegetable garden of steel planters  is the most well loved location. Expansive pool with waterfall and pond below add to the natural feel. Tennis court and cabin, and music studio are enveloped in ornamental and native grasses and shrubs.

Marra Road Vegetable Garden

A large vegetable garden composed of raised steel planters protected by steel deer proof fencing creates an environment brimming with fruit, vegetables and herbs. 3/8″ Russian river paths with Bluestone pavers link all areas of the garden punctuated by a stock pond water feature with ipe benches. The work area includes a recycled sink with bluestone surround in an IPE clad enclosure with additional seating.
