VINEYARD VALLEY | ST. HELENA

This project involved renovation of common areas, planting, irrigation, hardscape and lighting. The existing lagoon and mature trees lent themselves to a Japanesque planting theme. Drip irrigation and LED lighting upgrades were provided. No-Mow turf was introduced near the redwood grove with colorful acid loving plantings. Decomposed granite paths and warm sandstone flagstone terraces provided the finishing touches. These Improvements to the property have been beneficial to the resident’s happiness and outdoor enjoyment.

VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK | YOUNTVILLE

The Town of Yountville requested renovation to the unused outdated Veterans Memorial Park at the South end of town. The goal was to provide an avenue for outdoor events and uses for residents and visitors in addition to providing a more attractive gateway into Town. The renovation was also a way to strengthen and honor the Town’s connection to the historic Veteran’s Home. A circular courtyard with blue military star at it’s center was surrounded by a stone amphitheater in turf, access paths in four directions, bermed planting beds with stone seatwalls, and addition of picnic tables, water fountain, bike rack, and chess tables. A ring of  red and white roses and Crapemyrtle enveloped this space. The space is now used for Music in the Park every summer Sunday and other Town events. 

OAKTREE VINEYARDS | NAPA

Owners of Oaktree Vineyard requested development of outdoor spaces for residents in their undeveloped open space. A park was created and included a Bocce ball court with seating at both ends in addition to a shade structure for larger gatherings. A community vegetable garden was introduced consisting of raised redwood planters, gravel paths, perimeter split rail fencing in planting beds of herbs and espaliered fruit trees. A lawn inset with olives was provided on each site of the bocce ball court in addition to flowering crabapples ling the perimeter path on each side of the community vegetable garden. This space is very popular, well used and considered and an asset to the community.

 

OVA Central Plaza | Napa

OVA Central Plaza , formerly Berger Center, was developed as an outdoor venue for residents. Improvements included brick and salt finish concrete paving, LED lighting, attractive site furniture, information boards, drought plant material and drip irrigation. A future fountain  is also planned.

Becoming independent events Center & garden | SANTA ROSA

An Events Center with Meditation and Vegetable Garden was requested by Becoming Independent directors as a way to provide a space for fund raising and special events, and provide students a means to relax, learn and enjoy nature. Development of a large interlock paver terrace off the outdoor kitchen, a stock tank vegetable bed ring, No-mow lawns with recycled benches as seating areas, a connecting meandering path of Granitecrete surrounded by habitat sustaining and pollinator gardens accomplished this goal. An adjoining parking area now serves for Tented evening events. The garden is flourishing and the donors are active.
